Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated IT Onsite Engineer to join our Professional Services team, responsible for delivering exceptional onsite and remote technical services to our dental office clients. In this role, you will travel nationwide for partner onboardings and project implementations, ensuring seamless installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various systems. When not onsite, you will work remotely to address professional services tickets, providing top-tier customer support. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with partners, deliver high-quality service, and resolve diverse technical challenges efficientl

Location: Remote; Hiring in areas with close proximity to major airports. Chicago, Phoenix, Denver, Cheyenne, WY. 
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Live and Support Medix Core Values 
  • Onsite and remote installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of:
    • Servers and workstations
    • VOIP Solutions
    • Backup Systems
    • Managed switches, firewalls and wireless
    • Practice Management and Imaging software
  • Maintaining inventory of Medix equipment 
  • Ensure projects and activities are completed to the scope of work and Medix standards
  • Work with vendors when needed to ensure project success
  • Book travel arrangements as soon as project/activities is/are scheduled
  • Review upcoming ticket/project assignments
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service
  • Follow company credit card guidelines appropriately
  • Follow company vehicle/rental car guidelines and expectations appropriately
  • Follow Professional Services Core Process

Characteristics Needed for This Role:  

  • Proactive Problem-Solver: Ability to analyze issues, think critically, and develop effective solutions quickly. This includes diagnosing technical problems and implementing fixes.
  • Excellent Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Good listening skills to understand user issues accurately.
  • Excellent Customer Service: A strong commitment to providing positive user experience. Patience and empathy are crucial.
  • Detail Oriented: Precision in troubleshooting and documentation to ensure issues are tracked accurately and resolved systematically.
  • Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple requests, and meet deadlines while maintaining service quality.
  • Collaboration Skills: Willingness to work with other team members and departments to resolve issues and improve processes.  

This Role Requires: 

  • Previous experience with onsite technical support or a similar role.
  • Willingness to travel cross-country as needed, and close proximity to an airport. 
  • Ability to travel away from home for multi-day trips. Ability to work evenings if needed for projects. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable vehicle for any local onsite travel. 
  • Ability to work remotely when not scheduled to be on-site.
