IT Onsite Technician - Independent Contractor

About Us:

Founded in 2003, we are a Midwest-based Dental Technology integration and support provider. We are dedicated to providing technical support and solutions to dental offices across the nation. Our team is expanding, and we're looking for an IT Onsite Technician to support our Des Moines, IA partners.

Responsibilities:

As an IT Onsite Engineer, independent contractor, you will be the go-to person in the Des Moines, IA area for resolving technical issues at dental offices. In this contracted position, you will build strong relationships with our partners, deliver exceptional customer service, and find effective solutions to a wide range of technical challenges. While on-site, you'll tackle issues related to hardware, software, phones, printers, and specialized dental imaging products.

These contracts are on an as-needed basis and the types of tasks will range.

Logistics: 

  • When we have a contract work task, we will contact you. 
  • If you would like to complete the task, you will track your time spent with contractor and e-mail an invoice to our Accountant. 
  • Payment is then be sent within a few business days of submitting the invoice. This can be either a paper check or direct deposit. 

Key Duties:

  • Travel primarily to dental offices within the Des Moines, IA area to address technical issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, phones, printers, and dental imaging products, etc.
  • Contribute to routine maintenance and installations nationwide as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Contractors must provide their own regular tools for installing electronic equipment, and transportation.
  • Previous experience with onsite technical support or a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with hardware, software, and dental imaging products is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region and elsewhere when scheduled.
